Can I burn the candles?

Yes, you can! Although they are mainly meant to be used as decorations, all of our taper and pillar candles can be burned and used as regular candles. Our taper sets are not made from drip-less wax and will burn down. Our pillar candles, however, will burn down the center and leave the decorative shell. You can then place a votive candle inside and continue to use the pillar as decoration. To do this, trim the wick short (about 1/2"), and light. Once a small pool of wax has formed, blow out the candle and carefully pour out the melted wax. Relight the candle and repeat this process until a well has formed that is large enough for a small votive candle.

Are the candles scented?

Because we mix colors and add several layers to the candles, they are not scented. However, our pillar candles can be hollowed out so you can place a scented votive inside. How are the candles made?

We started with a hand-poured core made in the basic shape of the candle and dip it 20 to 30 times, layering on different colors. While the candle is still warm, the wax is cut and twisted to reveal the inside layers. Many of our candles have embellishments added, all of which we also mold and paint by hand. Once the candle is complete, it is dipped in a durable high-gloss candle glaze.

How are the candles packed for shipping?

We pack our candles very carefully with bubble wrap and additional padding if necessary. We guarantee our shipping and that your candle will make it to you in one piece.

Can I request a custom candle?

How should I store my candle?

We advise storing your candle in the bubble wrap it comes with, or in similar padding to help protect its fragile curls. Heat in excess of 100° should be avoided.

How do I maintain my candle?

We use the finest quality coloring pigments available, making them sunlight resistant and ensuring they will not fade over time. However, prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or heat in excess of 100° should be avoided. Should you need to clean your candle, simply rinse it under cool tap water.
